PGA Fellow Professional Neil Holman has a passion for teaching.
He can help you with any aspect of your game. From driving and fairway woods, to iron play, right through to pitching, chipping, awkward lies and putting.
Neil turned Professional in 1991 whilst at Tall Pines GC in Bristol. He also taught at Clevedon Driving Range in Somerset for 2 years before progressing on to Head Assistant at the club where he was an amateur; Burnham and Berrow GC. Whilst there, he used to teach at as Weston Driving Range in the evenings too. After becoming a fully qualified PGA Professional in 1996 he took the position of Head Professional at Churston Golf Club in Devon, where he served for 8 years before moving to his current position at Torbay Golf Centre in 2004.
Lessons are available all year round, as the range and short game area are both flood lit. Last appointments on weekdays are at 7.15pm and at weekends it’s 5.15pm.

One to One Tuition
40 minute Lesson £45

Junior Tuition
- 10 and Under – £10 for 30minutes
- 14 and Under – £14 for 30minutes
- 18 and Under – £18 for 30minutes
- 25 and Under – £25 for 30minutes
- For two, a £5 surcharge and a 40minute lesson
Specialist Academies
- Tuesdays 5pm-6pm, Girls after school club only £6.00.
- Wednesdays 4.30pm-5.30pm, Boys after school club only £6.00.
- Saturday morning with Neil Holman – 10am to 12noon, individual junior coaching only £5.00 for 10 minutes – no need to book, just turn up

Taken me a little while to get this to you but here’s a review for your website. Neil has taken me from a complete beginner, barely being able to hit the ball, to being able to hit all my clubs confidently and more consistently. With the playing lesson, he taught me strategy, and talked through every shot, club selection and even down to technical aspects like the wind, slopes and how the ball lays to play certain shots. Not only did he fix my swing, he also fixed one of my clubs! I can’t recommend Neil enough, and I will definitely be going back to him should I need to!

Just thought I would let you know my golf is going from strength to strength since my lessons with you . Really playing a different game now than I was . I won the stableford this week with an 81 and reckon it could have been a lot better . I haven’t shanked in weeks ! Just wanted to say I have a couple of lessons still with you paid for could I put them on hold for a month or two ?

Neil recommended his Mizuno club fitting, so I booked in. The club fitting was great, they didn’t rush anything and I had a chance to go through the range of irons that best suited me. Once we looked at the stats we narrowed it down to a few irons which I then tested thoroughly. The fitting was £20 which was great value. I purchased the clubs and got a free set of Mizuno golfs ball chucked in as well. Great service.
